Overview

You can analyze the CPU and Memory usage of your servers to forecast the expected resource usage for the next month and receive recommendations for appropriate instance types.

Resource Optimization Recommendations

Go to Cost Manager → Resource Optimization → Rightsizing by ML from the left menu.

You can view optimization recommendations and the estimated savings for each currently used resource.

Supported Resources

This feature currently supports AWS EC2 and will be expanded to additional resources in the future.

Metric Collection

For accounts integrated with Datadog, Datadog metrics are used.

For accounts not integrated with Datadog, AWS CloudWatch metrics are used. (CloudWatch Agent installation required)

Recommendation Types

We provide 8 recommendation types:

Fit

The current instance performance is adequate, and maintaining the current instance is recommended.

Modernize

The instance performance is sufficient, but shifting to a newer generation or a more cost-effective instance is recommended.

Upsize

Increasing the instance performance or size is recommended.

No More Upsize

Upscaling is needed, but no suitable recommended instance is available under current conditions, so maintaining the current state is recommended.

Downsize

Decreasing the instance performance or size is recommended.

No More Downsize

Downsizing is needed, but no appropriate recommended instance is available based on current conditions, so maintaining the current instance is recommended.

Terminate

CPU and Memory forecast values are below 10%, so termination of the instance is recommended.

Insufficient data

Analysis cannot be performed when the available metric data is shorter than the required forecast period.

Click the resource Name to view detailed information.

Resource Basic Information

AI Analysis Report

The server forecasting results and recommendation data are provided to an AI model, which generates a natural-language analysis report that is easy for users to understand.

Recommended Instance Information

Up to 3 optimized recommended instance options are provided.

Processor type, vCPU count, memory size, and cost information are included for each option.

Data Forecasting

We provide AI-based forecasting using past metric data.

Currently, the system uses the past two months of data to forecast the next month, and the forecasting period will be extended in the future.
