Cloud Z CP v2.0 Beta

Major Themes

ZCP v2.0 Key Features

  • Unified ZCP Console enables dynamic deployment or registration of Managed Kubernetes Clusters from Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) for seamless Multi-Cluster configuration and management.
  • Multi-Project Management allows the creation and management of single or multiple projects across Multi-Cluster environments, enabling CI/CD-based continuous application building and deployment.
  • Centralized Monitoring & Logging securely stores and isolates metrics and logs for all applications deployed in a Multi-Cluster environment, with visualization tools for monitoring.
  • Granular Access Control supports group, user, and role-based management at the project level, allowing precise resource, CI/CD, monitoring, and menu access permissions for Multi-Cluster environments.

New Features

Multi-Cluster Management

Provides the ability to dynamically configure Managed Kubernetes Clusters from Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) using IaC (Infrastructure as Code) and manage Multi-Cluster environments, including pre-existing clusters.

ZCP provides the ability to install and upgrade Agents via the Catalog for collecting Metrics and Logs required for cluster operations.

Multi-Project Management

Enables the creation and management of single or multiple projects within a Multi-Cluster environment.

Cluster administrators can create and allocate clusters per project, while project development teams can build, deploy, and operate applications on assigned clusters.

Advanced CI/CD

Supports application registration in the ZCP console and provides an automated build pipeline using Tekton to build applications and register them in a container image repository.

Offers a Deployment Group feature that allows applications to be deployed to assigned Multi-Cluster environments.

Provides a Deployment Group UI/UX that automatically generates necessary Kubernetes Cluster Resources (Deployment, Service, Ingress, etc.), stores them in a Git server, and deploys applications using GitOps with ArgoCD.

Centralized Monitoring & Logging

Stores Metrics and Logs at both the cluster and project levels in a centralized repository, enabling monitoring through visualization tools like Kibana and Grafana.

Provides a high-availability and scalable architecture based on Cortex.

RBAC(Role-based Access Management)

Defines users, groups, and roles at the project level, allowing granular access control over cluster resources, menus, Metrics, and Logs.
