Overview
To apply Cloud Z Cost Manager’s cost optimization recommendations, purchase the recommended subscriptions from the AWS and Azure consoles.
AWS
Savings Plans
Purchasing Compute Savings Plans 
On the Cost Optimization Recommendations screen, check the following criteria:
- Recommendation Search Criteria
Subscription Term
Payment Option
Detailed information of Compute Savings Plans from the recommendation list
Hourly Commitment
Go to the AWS console → AWS Cost Explorer → Savings Plans > Purchase Savings Plans page, and enter the following information:
- Purchase Details
Savings Plan Type: Compute Savings Plans
Term: As per recommendation search criteria - Subscription Term (1 year / 3 years)
- Purchase Commitment
Hourly Commitment: From recommendation details - Hourly Commitment
Payment Option: As per recommendation search criteria - Payment Option (All upfront / Partial upfront / No upfront)
Start Date (Optional)
Check the payment amount in the purchase summary and add it to the cart.
Submit the order to complete the Compute Savings Plans purchase.
Purchasing EC2 Savings Plans

On the Cost Optimization Recommendations screen, check the following criteria:

Platform
In the AWS console, change the region in the top-right corner to the one from the recommended RI scope.
Go to EC2 > Instances > Reserved Instances page and click “Purchase Reserved Instances.”
On the purchase screen, enter the following information:
Platform: From recommendation details - Platform
Tenancy: From recommendation search criteria - Tenancy (Shared = default, NA = dedicated)
Offering Class: From recommendation search criteria - Offering Class (Standard / Convertible)
Instance Type: From recommendation details - Resource Type
Term: From recommendation search criteria - Subscription Term (1 year = 1
12 months, 3 years = 1236 months)Payment Option: As per recommendation search criteria - Payment Option (All upfront / Partial upfront / No upfront)
Quantity: From recommendation details - Quantity
Add to cart, then go to cart view.
Review the cart, click “Submit All” to complete the EC2 RI purchase.
Purchasing RDS RI
On the Cost Optimization Recommendations screen, check the following criteria:

In the AWS console, change the region in the top-right corner to the one from the recommended RI scope.

On the purchase screen, enter the following information:

Purchasing Redshift RI
On the Cost Optimization Recommendations screen, check the following criteria:

On the purchase screen, enter the following information:

RI
Purchasing Virtual Machines RI
On the Cost Optimization Recommendations screen, check the following criteria:

Access the Azure portal, go to the Reservations page and click “Add.”
Select Virtual Machines and proceed to the next step.
On the product selection screen, choose the following:
- Scope
Shared: Reservation discount applies to eligible subscriptions within the billing context.
For EA customers, this means all subscriptions under the enrollment.
For pay-as-you-go customers, all eligible subscriptions created by the account administrator.
For Microsoft Customer Agreement, it applies to the billing profile.Single Subscription: Discount applies only to matching resources in the selected subscription.
Single Resource Group: Discount applies only to matching resources in the selected resource group.
