1. Overview
This is a guide document for integrating Datadog with Opsgenie.
Datadog integration must be set up in Opsgenie’s Team beforehand.

2. Setting Up Opsgenie Integration in Datadog
The purpose of the Opsgenie Integration is to ensure that alerts generated in Datadog are sent to operations personnel via Opsgenie notifications.
2.1. Integration
Follow the steps below to integrate:
In Datadog, go to the ‘Integrations > Integrations’ menu and search for Opsgenie.
On the Opsgenie tile, select the Configuration Tab and click ‘New Integration Service’.
Clicking the button will open an input form as shown below.
3. Enter the following details and click the save button.
Service Name: Enter the name for Opsgenie integration.
Opsgenie API Key: Enter the API key obtained from the Opsgenie Teams after Datadog integration.
Region: Keep the default setting as "United States".
If additional Opsgenie monitoring setups are needed, select ‘+New’ from the right panel and repeat step 3.
2.2. Opsgenie Request Process (Reference)
Before proceeding with Opsgenie Integration, you need to have Datadog integrated within Opsgenie and obtain an API Key.
If Opsgenie has not been set up yet, please request a Team creation from the zcare support team first. The following process assumes that the team already exists.
Below is the method for submitting a support ticket to connect Datadog and Opsgenie.
Submit a ticket: https://support.skcc.com/ (Please use the Chrome browser.) Access the Support Portal. Click the "Create New Ticket" menu. Select the ticket type*. Choose Service Level 1~3* as shown in the image below. Fill in the fields for Project/System Name, Title*, and Description*. In the description, enter the relevant Opsgenie team name and request an API Key for Datadog connection, then click the submit button. |
