Overview

Provides a summary of the optimization status and optimization recommendations for clusters linked to Densify.

Dashboard

Container Status

You can check the total number of Clusters, Namespaces, Pods, and Containers linked to Densify.

Use the top button to navigate to the Container Recommendations menu.

Potential Cost Savings

The amount that can be saved by optimizing resources.

Even if the resources allocated to the cluster are optimized, direct cost savings do not occur. The calculated amount is based on $20 per CPU core and $5 per GB of memory.

  • Surplus CPU Request = Currently Allocated CPU Request - Recommended CPU Request

  • Surplus Memory Request = Currently Allocated Memory Request - Recommended Memory Request

Only containers with CPU Request and Memory Request set are included.

Linked Account

You can check the number of clusters linked to Densify by MCMP group.

Use the top button to navigate to the account linking management menu.

Top 5 Recommendations

The Top 5 recommendations with the highest potential savings through container optimization.

Each item is displayed as {Container Name} ({Cluster Name}), with the estimated savings after applying the recommendation shown on the right.

Use the top button to navigate to the Container Recommendations menu.

Resource Configuration Status

You can check the resource configuration status of container CPU and Memory.

Each graph is calculated as (Number of containers with CPU/Memory Request and Limit set) / (Total number of containers).

Optimization Status

Displays the optimization status based on the current container recommendation results.

The optimization rate is calculated as (Number of Just Right resources) / (Total number of resources).

The recommendation types provided by Densify are shown in the table below.

Just Right

this container manifest is optimally configured for the workload

Upsize

increase one or more of CPU Request, CPU Limit, Memory Request, or Memory Limit settings

Downsize

decrease one or more of CPU Request, CPU Limit, Memory Request, or Memory Limit settings

Resize

resize at least two of CPU Request, CPU Limit, Memory Request, or Memory Limit settings (i.e. at least one recommendation is a size increase and the other one is a size decrease)

Resize from Unspecified

resize recommendations for this container manifest are made without current CPU Request, CPU Limit, Memory Request, or Memory Limit values

Not Analyzed

there is insufficient data to recommend CPU Request, CPU Limit, Memory Request, or Memory Limit values

Optimization Rate Trends

You can check the container optimization rate trends for up to the last 30 days.

* Optimization Rate = Just Right Resources / Total Resources

CPU Memory Optimization Analysis

A summary graph of container recommendations.

The X-axis represents the number of containers, and the Y-axis represents (Current Resource Value) / (Recommended Resource Value) * 100.

  • 100%: The current resource is set to the recommended value, meaning it is optimized.
  • Above 100%: The current resource is set higher than the recommended value, indicating resource waste. Adjusting the settings can reduce costs.
  • Below 100%: The current resource is set lower than the recommended value, indicating a resource shortage. Adjusting the settings can resolve performance issues.
  • Containers without a configured resource value are classified as Unsp. (Unspecified).
